Canadian Experience Class Processing Time
Since the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is covered under the Express Entry (EE) System, 80% of its applications get processed within 6 months.
Canadian work experience is highly valued in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) used to rank applicants who want to live in Canada permanently. If everything is in order, it might only take 3-4 months for CEC applications to get processed.
The PR (Permanent Resident) application processing time includes the time taken to collect your biometrics. But it only refers to the time between the day your application is received by the authorities and the day they communicate the final result to you.
You need to keep in mind that you need time for a lot of other things, such:
- Preparing and taking language tests,
- Arranging all your documents in order,
- Getting medical exam results and police certificates, etc.
Canadian work experience is highly valued in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) used to rank applicants who want to live in Canada permanently. Hence, CEC applications are often processed very quickly - and only take three to four months.
Your PR application may get stalled for a lot of reasons, such as:
- incomplete our outdated contact information (address, phone number, email address) of you and/or your family members,
- not responding to the queries of the authorities on time,
- adding co-applicants to your application,
- change of your marital status when the application is under process,
- dependent children turning 18 while the application is being processed, and/or
- medical exams or language tests need to re-submitted as they expire before the application gets processed.
V2I immigration experts understand the different reasons why your PR application may get rejected or delayed. They can help you avoid these situations and get your CEC PR application approved quickly.
