The RSWP or Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who wish to immigrate to Quebec for work. This program requires that you must have the training and skills that will facilitate your job integration in Quebec. It also considers factors like language proficiency, age, presence of children and characteristics of the spouse.

How to Apply for Quebec RSWP?

This program is points-based. To apply for the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program, you must score the minimum points on the Quebec points assessment grid. If you have sufficient points, you can submit an EOI or Expression of Interest to immigrate to Quebec. Then, you will receive the Selection Certificate from the government of Quebec which signifies that you can now apply for immigration to Quebec to the government of Canada.

Application fees for permanent residence include the fees that you need to pay to the IRCC. This includes the following:

• Fee for including a dependent child: $225 per child
• Biometrics fee (per person): $85
• Third-party fees: Fee required for police certificates, medical, educational credential assessment

Processing Times for Quebec RSWP

The application for permanent selection that you submit to the government of Quebec can take up to 6 months to get processed. The time frame might increase if you have to attend an interview.

The application for permanent residence to IRCC takes up to 15 to 17 months. This also includes the time you need to give your biometrics.
