Canada Permanent Residency Points Calculator
Would you like to know if you have enough points to apply for permanent residence in Canada? This post includes all the important information regarding Canada CRS Points calculation and how we can help you meet all the eligibility requirements for Canada PR.
What is CRS?
The CRS or Comprehensive Ranking System is a points-based system used by the IRCC to assess and score your express entry profile and rank it in the Express Entry Pool. This score is based on the following aspects of a candidate’s profile:
- Education
- Age
- Language
- Skills
- Adaptability
- Work Experience and more
Who should calculate their CRS score?
If you are eligible for at least 1 Express Entry Program out of the following, you can calculate your CRS score and match it with the score in the current round of invitations. These programs are:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
- Eligibility Criteria for Federal Skilled Worker Program
Those who are applying under the Federal Skilled Worker Program need to ensure their eligibility through selection factor points. The IRCC assesses your application based on:
- age
- Education
- Work experience
- Whether you have a valid job offer
- English and/or French language skills
- Adaptability (how well you’re likely to settle in Canada)
These factors are included in a 100-point grid (as shown in the table below) out of which you need to score at least 67 points. Otherwise, you are not eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) Program. So make sure to check your eligibility for the FSW program before you calculate your CRS score. This criterion is not valid for the Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class Program.
