Canadian Experience Class Rules & Conditions
To be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category, you must have worked for one year in Canada full-time (or equivalent part-time jobs) in your chosen occupation within the last three years. Only the work experience after earning the right credentials is counted. You must be there in Canada as a temporary resident who is allowed to work legally to earn this experience. You must also have performed all the essential duties mentioned in the NOC (National Occupation Classification) guidelines as well as most of the main duties mentioned for your occupation.
Note: If you have less than one year of full-time work experience or have worked in Canada on a student work permit, you will not be eligible for CEC migration. Those who are planning to live in Quebec are also not eligible for Express Entry through this category.
There is no minimum education or proof of funds requirements for the CEC category but having education credentials can earn you better scores and a better chance to enter the Express Entry (EE) pool.
The language requirement of CEC applicants is high. They are required to score CLB 7 or more in all the sections if they are applying for NOC 0 skill type or NOC A skill level occupations. They need to score CLB 5 or more in all the sections if they are applying for NOC B skill level occupations.
The language test should be taken within two years of applying for the PR.
You don't need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to apply for the CEC category but a valid job offer supported by an LMIA can earn you some brownie CRS points. Discuss your case with a Canadian immigration and PR expert at V2I to know how to immigrate to Canada.
