Is the cost for 189 Subclass Visa fixed?
Visa application costs keep changing from time to time. The actual fee depends on the date when the Australian authorities receive an application. If the cost of the visa increases in between the time of submission of application at the applicant’s end and the receiving of the application by the Assessment Authorities then the applicant would have to pay the difference amount.
Do note that the visa application charge for Australia needs to be paid in Australian dollars. If the applicant is paying the subclass 189 visa fees through credit cards, PayPal, and Visa or Mastercard debit cards, they will also have to pay a surcharge which ranges from 1% to 2% right now.
What additional costs can be involved?
189 visa fees for Australia mentioned here only include the official subclass 189 fees. However, the overall 189 visa cost an applicant has to pay may include costs for health assessments, obtaining police certificates and meeting other biometrics requirements.
The Australian government website has a subclass 189 visa cost estimator. However, this estimator does not include the second instalment or additional expenses.
